In exactly 14 Days The ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls Athletics Championships, reputed to be the largest and best high school Track & Field meet worldwide, gets going in Kingston's National Stadium.
Your XLCR Eagles and Lady Eagles are focused and committed to represent and carry the "Age" flag high. This year the squads are the largest and deepest the school has ever fielded at this renowned and uniquely Jamaican athletic spectacle, which has fans and media alike travelling from all corners of the globe to witness it.

This, as many of you can imagine, is a life changing experience for several of these youngsters. As our founding principal,The Hon A. Wesley Powell used to say, "some students help the school, others only help themselves." These student-athletes have been training since last August/September for this occasion, to help re-establish the Excelsior name and brand as one of Jamaica's foremost educational institutions. Might I remind you that high school sports is a co-curricular activity and is most important in building a youngster's character as well as school spirit.
XLCR Eagles Class 1 Boys 4x200mR Team - Among the favourites for the event at Champs 2024
The goal is for both teams (Boys & Girls) to finish in the top 5 in their respective categories at Champs 2024. Whether you have or have never assisted XLCR in the past, here's an opportunity to be counted among those who "helped" the school as WAP so aptly phrased it.
DASH Athletics wish to sincerely thank those who have so kindly supported the XLCR T&F programme throughout the season and especially the Champs 2024 Operation. Unfortunately only a few have done so to date. The school with its limited resources is doing its best, but without your assistance this programme would be largely unrealized, not to mention our Champs 24 campaign.
